Parisian shoe designer Pierre Hardy has long inspired, surprised and occasionally confused with his unconventional approach to shoe design, and the latest addition to his range of limited edition sneakers looks set to follow suit.
The fifth instalment in his series of limited edition high-top footwear, (earlier this year saw the Escher-inspired, perspective cube sneaker) Nubuckorama is set to perpetuate the abstract inspiration, emulating - in the words of Pierre Hardy himself - the stained glass aesthetic of ‘a Gilbert and George painting’.
Limited to a range of only 500 pairs and produced in the softest imaginable nubuck, the sneakers come constructed in a series of multi-chromatic, near-pastel patches, stitched together with black patent piping – reminiscent of the leaden track-work found in many a stained glass window.
