Who am I? The return of the identity tag

Not just for Hollywood action heroes, the military inspired dog-tag, hanging off chunky chains, was seen beefing up haute couture pieces on the catwalks at Dior Homme and Martine Rose.
Italian fine jeweller Carolina Bucci has always included identity tag designs in her core collection, and now others are following suit. ‘It’s about the big question of “Who am I?” says German jeweller Saskia Diez, whose silver version features a stocky curbed chain and a thick clasp.
California-based French-American jeweller Sandrine de Laage offers a more refined take on the style. Her ‘GI-D’ pendant is formed from three asymmetrical gold or silver tags suspended from a delicate chain, its name a nod to the historic GI tag.
