If clean spaces punctuated by diamonds characterised the enduring Serti Sur Vide collection – a staple of Gaia Repossi's since 2014 – then the curl of a wave encapsulates Serti Inversé, the new jewellery collection. The new jewels are an effective foil for the former’s more geometric design, which saw diamonds hovering on gold branches and dotting the skin in seemingly arbitrary patterns.
Here, pear-shaped white diamonds, cradled in threads of white and pink gold, take centre stage. Raised up on the crest of a wave, the gems are frozen in a snapshot of motion.
The collection is divided into both high and fine jewellery; the latter introduces experimental new aesthetics, exploring different silhouettes with endless curves. These simple lines are subsequently translated into the wearable gold knots of the fine pieces, where she weaves gold into twisting loops.
