Pause for a while to marvel at the misty wonders of Tadao Ando’s ‘Silence’ installation outside the Connaught. Every 15 minutes, hissing atomisers hidden away in tree trunks create a spectacular art moment – clouds of ghostly white vapour moving across a still water feature and floating off into the ether. Liquids are similarly, artfully manipulated by the Connaught Bar’s master mixologist, Agostino Perrone, whose imaginative list of molecular, classic and contemporary drinks includes a heady libation inspired by and dedicated to Princess Grace of Monaco, a former Connaught guest.
