Tilda All Day restaurant review - New York, USA
It’s an activity synonymous with New York City, but for those with weekend work schedules, long lazy brunches are sadly a no-go.
Danny Nusbaum and Samantha Safer – a duo with significant restaurant industry know-how – are set to change all that with the launch of Tilda All Day, which is – as the name denotes – an all day brunch spot open seven days a week.
Inside, the restaurant’s light-filled feel-good interiors, by local studio The MP Shift, are part of the master plan to entice diners to linger longer over the scrummy, easy-to-please menu, regardless of the day of the week; a dazzling white background creates the perfect blank canvas for brass lighting fixtures, a parquet-lined bar, wooden chairs and marigold orange banquettes, while a geometric Sol LeWitt-style motif on the upper wall takes centre stage.
With a refined menu, which features an array of delicious pastries along with the likes of fried eggs with potato, crème fraiche and roe; or expertly prepared soft scrambled egg sandwiches, this new diner is set to become a real neighbourhood gem.
