Asbury Ocean Club Hotel — New Jersey, USA

Three years since the popular hotel, The Asbury first opened in New Jersey's Asbury Park, the team behind it has revealed Asbury Ocean Club Hotel, its upmarket beachfront escape with panoramic Atlantic Ocean views. Lead by Anda Andrei, designed by Bonetti/Kozerski Archiecture and Handel Architects, and with operations overseen by Salt Hotels’ David Bowd, the stunning, high-rise hotel is easily the crown jewel in the ongoing revitalisation of the beach town by real estate developers, iStar.
With 54 rooms, all set on the fourth floor of a renovated building, Asbury Ocean Club Hotel brings the intimacy, luxury and beachfront glamour of other sea-facing locales to spitting distance of New York City. From the lobby, guests are greeted with views of a spacious pool deck, equipped with sunken beds, floor pillows and deep sofas. Surrounded by trees and greenery that create an oasis-like feel, the deck is also home to a spacious outdoor pool, overlooking the ocean, a full service-bar and grill, and a granita cart that doles out juices, tiki cocktails, smoothies and more.
Inside, the hotel’s inviting, residential atmosphere continues in its Drawing Room, a convivial living room/bar/kitchen hybrid, all enclosed in glass, which floats within a reflecting pool at the heart of the property. Visible from any vantage point within the hotel, the all-day space comes armed with a large fireplace, communal oak table, a baby grand piano and plenty of cosy corners where guests can kick back and relax.
Each of the hotel’s rooms have been designed as a private beach loft. Along with balconies that make the most of the ocean views, each room comes with a daybed or banquette from where to enjoy the vistas, 11-foot high ceilings, wood panelled floors, and a cherry-picked selection of stylish furnishings and amenities to complete the retreat-like experience.
To top it all off, each guest has a dedicated beach bell person at their disposal, to take care of his every need. From fresh beach towels and umbrellas to ordering lunch and beverages poolside, personalised service rarely gets much better than this.
