Scene setting: Held in a giant black and white striped box on the Place Vendôme , models at Louis Vuitton came down a classic Pairisan stone stairwell and stomped through the house’s soon to open boutique.
Best in show: ‘Power dressing’ has become a cliché concept, but Nicolas Ghesquière has found ways to really increase the impact. Multiple focus points created a fierce silhouette thanks to rounded shoulders, cut-outs at the armpit and chest, elongated torsos via longer length jackets and tight, zipped-up lace trousers that cut an ultra-slim figure.
Finishing touches: The pointy-toed contrasting boots were eye-catchers at this show: they came in a gold-tone, grey metallic alligator texture, or in smooth red, black, camel and ink leather with a snakeskin patterned back.
