Loewe S/S 2016

Mood board: JW Anderson looked at the contrast of man-made versus natural materials for S/S 2016 as he reassessed the house’s stalwart leather legacy for today. The result was a catwalk crash of synthetic cyber fabrics from cling film pants to shattered mirror jumpers and tufted silver filament dresses, all juxtaposed with nature’s own cable knit jumpers and a slew of skins – pony-hair tracksuits and a rocking pair of crocodile trousers included.
Best in show: A buttery suede camel wrap coat that was simply purring to be patted.
Finishing touches: There may have been gold fish circling the neck and Canadian geese hovering over lapels, but the real action was in hand. Anderson’s Puzzle bag was reinvented in rubber, while he also debuted the new calf Strip bucket bag.
