Mood board: The Michael Kors show notes are always some of the most beautifully and succinctly articulated in the business. ‘Earthy elegance’ they declared this season, and the presage was spot on. At least, this outing of wrap-like, au naturel clothing was as organic looking as a jet-set loving designer like Kors can muster.
Best in show: The floral touches were called ‘rustic’ but looked rich, as tone-on-tone silk petal embroideries covered air-swept skirts and dresses. The best by far was a long-sleeved peasant dress showered with black and red and black blooms that looked like a pile of fallen leaves.
Finishing touches: Kors’ signature low-slung wide leather belts cinched the curved hips of ankle grazing knit dresses, while sandals came in either easy flat versions or in flatforms with woven braided or python chunky bases.
