Dior A/W 2016
Dior sets the standard of modern manners with a ladylike lineup at its prim and proper Parisian show

Mood board: Dior went back to its polite roots for its latest collection, which delivered a ladylike lineup of buttoned up suits made from proper pencil skirts and peplum, nip-waist jackets. The polished looks were ever so slightly tweaked with dropped-waist volume dresses or a splash of sparkling embroideries, but the mood here was proudly Parisian.
Best in show: The show was big on hot-off-the-runway looks. The best of these had an irreverent kick such as the novelty knitwear. An orange turtleneck looked great with unexpected puff sleeves while boxy knits featured dramatic paisley weaves.
Finishing touches: Dior poured creative juice into its accessories, loading up ladies with two, three or even four handbags slung over the shoulder at one time. The best of these were slim fold up versions that were unbuckled to reveal colourful interiors filled with piratical zips and pockets.
