Tod’s A/W 2016
Mood board: Alessandra Facchinetti delivered a spot-on collection at Tod’s where a cleaned up ethnic-vibe was inspired by the leather goods company's own fascination with handcraft. Her clothes came covered in exaggerated, visible colourful stitching, creating fabulous graphic lines over pleated leather skirts, snug leather puffer jackets and even on boxy knit sweaters.
Best in show: The outerwear in the show was superb, from sweeping plaid coats to black and red tweed jackets punctured with stitching. Also noteworthy was Facchinetti's perfectly cut cropped black pants; simple, but superb.
Finishing touches: Tod’s footwear was lifted to cool new heights as the signature driving shoes and leather loafers came bedazzled with tassels, fringes, braids and thick contrast leather stitching.
