Mood board: This season at Fendi Karl Lagerfeld's trademark sharp lines got traded in for a softer look where ruffles ruled the world. Wavy edging trimmed the sides of wool coats, silk dresses, even the tops of sexy leather over the knee boots.
Best in show: Rather than his usual slick high tech look, Lagerfeld went for craft and the change suited him beautifully. Fendi's miraculously fur patchworks offered a collage of stripes and gentle undulations in a delicious palette of baby blue, hunter green, ochre and purple.
Finishing touches: Heavy colourful winter socks were paired with ruffle edged suede high heel sandals, while Fendi's trademark Peekaboo got a great upgrade with scenic landscapes printed onto velvet.
