Mood board: The mood was cool and minimal at Jil Sander where Rodolfo Paglialunga picked a puddy-coloured, monotone palette for his crisply cut clothes. The minimalist mud-out morphed into pale shades of grey, steely blue and slate on cool sportswear and boxy suiting with flood-cut trousers.
Best in show: The opening sequence of crisp spring coats in shades of grey were excellent as were the A-line cut trench coats in a lovely peacock green. Also noteworthy? The ombre effect in sea green took work wear and trenches from basic to beautiful.
Finishing touches: Softened briefcases with fold fronts, rolled leather lunch bag purses were carried by hand, while every cropped trouser exposed a sock-covered ankle with either classic lace-ups or open toe sandals.
