Versace A/W 2016
Naughty but nice, Versace's Insta-girl heavy cast combined athleticism with modern polish

Mood board: Half sultry, half sweet, Versace's woman seemed caught in the middle of an existential question. Starting in sharp swaths of slick navy and black wools that covered most of the models' assets, the show ended with a tiny bits of filmy pastel fabric strung up on dental floss-like straps that left nearly inch of the models' dewy skin in full view.
Best in show: The offerings here were uneven, but highlights included the fancy knitwear which included nubbly, textured two piece skirt-and-sweater-jacket sets that had a sporty elan. Also noteworthy: a gorgeous white mink coat with pastel dégradé that bled beautifully and subtly into the soft pelt.
Finishing touches: Shoes this season looked high tech and sporty at the same time. Zip front scuba shoes had geometric kitten heels while pointed, hard edged pumps were worn with navy elastic socks. The models also wore skinny elastic headbands, as if they might jump onto the stairmaster at any moment.
