Fendi A/W 2014

Men and fur: the pairing is usually a dangerous pursuit, fraught with potential pitfalls. But Silvia Fendi, scion of her family's fur dynasty, knows a thing or two about the fluffy animalistic material; specifically, how to manipulate it without making a modern man look ridiculous. From easy entry pieces such as mink V-neck sweaters and fox boxing mittens paired with bumpy tweed suiting and pressed shirts, to a more advanced offering of a blue and brown marmot coat, or a full mink coat, the mood was subdued but light. Shaggy wool sweaters and coats had the texture of thick pile carpet printed with Fendi's funny animal faces. But other than that, the designer kept her palette clean and simple - almost universally dark, if not entirely black. Still, if none of this is convincing, a man can always turn to a fur hat in the shape of a cap with furry fox ears and a leather brim. Trust us - it's a much better alternative to your basic baseball cap.
