Calvin Klein Collection A/W 2014

If there was ever any doubt as to Italo Zucchelli's tenacity, all was put to rest at his most recent menswear show at Calvin Klein Collection in which he bit down and stayed faithfully attached to a monochromatic vision. From start to finish, and from head, finger tip to toe, Zucchelli covered his men in layers of single tones such as caramel, camel, butter and olive. A liberal pouring of pure hues created a clean canvas from which Zucchelli could wield his fiercely sharp knife. He cut wide leg, pleat front trousers and two button jackets from bonded wool flannel, quilted bomber jackets and vests from a satin-nylon mix, and beefy bomber jackets and parkas from double layers of wool. The oversized hoods and expedition backpacks were a nice touch - adding volume to the monotone mass, while his sweatshirts, stiffened with structural import, came emblazoned with the words that made Calvin Klein famous on every corner of the globe: Obsession, Escape & Eternity.
