The tenets of style, durability and portability have always been central to Rimowa. For over a century, the German luggage brand has perfected designs that strike the ultimate balance between craftsmanship and engineering – robust and elegant suitcases and carry-ons that roll effortlessly from departure lounge to overhead locker, from taxi to hotel lobby.
Now, the company has applied those same principles to a compact new design for the earthbound as well as the airborne – the Original Bag.
The new bag seamlessly integrates the sturdy, aeronautical allure and emblematic grooves of the brand’s classic aluminium suitcases, but is distinguished by proportion and luxurious detail.
Made in Germany, the unisex, hard-sided and lightweight aluminium design – which can be carried by hand, over the shoulder or cross-body – boasts a sleek, durable exterior that pays architectural and material tribute to the brand’s design language.
A leather handle reinforced by an aluminium frame, and a removable and adjustable webbing shoulder strap ensure effortless portability.
The Original Bag also features a Rimowa-pioneered button mechanism for fast opening and closing, while the interior is crafted entirely in Italian leather, with an organised and roomy compartment that features a zipped pocket and slots to store cards.
