Como Point Yamu — Phuket, Thailand
Following successful ventures as far flung as Miami, Bhutan and the Maldives, it was only natural for the Como hotel group to locate its latest property off the stunning Andaman coast, on the tranquil eastern side of Phuket. For the interiors, designer Paola Navone has blended her eclectic style and love of local materials with the group's pared-back minimalism. The crisp, airy rooms bear splashes of bright turquoise and vivid blues. Overlooking the sheer limestone cliffs of the UNESCO-listed Phang Nga Bay, the 106-room hotel features a 100m infinity pool and a Shambhala Retreat fitted with a yoga studio, a large gym and signature treatments. Dining options include a Southern-Thai restaurant specialising in fragrant dishes from the Thai peninsula, and a counterpart focusing on relaxed Italian cooking and freshly caught seafood.
