Step on it: meet Oaxis Glo, the Bluetooth body analyser

Oaxis Glo is the latest everyday gadget to add health-monitoring to its skill-base. An intelligent Bluetooth body analyser which is launching as part of a wellness series in a crowd-funding campaign on Pozible.com. The scales use bioelectrical impedance analysis (used for estimating body fat) to record key health statistics such as weight and BMI, basal metabolism rate, bone mass, body water mass, body fats, and even body age.
Users are updated with their statistics straight away on their mobile phone, via Bluetooth on the Oaxis app, designed in the hope to encourage better habits and health. The scale's design was the work of an in-house industrial design team, which includes Cedirc Ng, Carol Kuang and Zuguang Liu. They made it their mission to marry the most up to date health monitoring technology with a sleek and modern silhouette.
Available in a choice of two colours, silver and black, the scales also come in six customised LED shades to identify different users.
Available in black and silver, the scales upload information directly to mobile phones to its own app via Bluetooth, encouraging better habits and health among its users
