Pullman Hotels & Wallpaper* ’Our World = Your Playground’

Having made a careful examination of the contemporary work/play philosophy and the ever-evolving pleasure of doing business, Wallpaper* and upscale international hotel brand Pullman Hotels announce the ‘Our World = Your Playground’ project. The new artist-in-residence programme invites young talent – photographers, illustrators, graphic designers and digital artists – to submit themselves and their work for consideration, with the chance of a prize that offers unique access to a diverse creative environment and a truly global audience

Louisa Gagliardi
Designer / Illustrator

Swiss graphic designer and illustrator Louisa Gagliardi graduated from ÉCAL, where she also now teaches, and established her studio in Zurich earlier in 2015. Working as a freelance designer for clients such as Kenzo, Baccarat and Hublot, among others, she has also established a strong personal visual style. Her digital illustrations are manipulated realities delivered in imaginative colours and surreal abstraction


Daniel Clarke

Illustrator Daniel Clarke works in a variety of media including ink, charcoal, pastel and digital image. The London-based artist’s work creates a bridge between the two-dimensional and the three-dimensional, with tableaux that depict architectural complexities, natural sceneries and urban visions with great dynamism. His work has been commissioned by a variety of international clients, such as Eurostar, Christie’s and The New York Times



The work of artist Michael Denton combines music, moving image and painting with VJ-ing, writing music and developing audio-visual projects. In 1999, he founded Overlap with Anna McCrickard, an electronic art studio working on a variety of projects that unite image and sound. Their work focuses on abstracting and combining imagery through musical and artistic concepts, and over the years the pair have performed with the likes of The Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim and Pete Tong


Kira Freije

Recent Royal Academy graduate Kira Freije develops minimal compositions of steel and fabric that comment on our interaction with design and architecture. Her sculptures combine familiar elements from domestic and urban realms with more austere elements, adding the idea of human touch through small imperfections that create movement in her static works. The London-based artist’s work has been shown in England and Italy through group and solo shows

Simon Heijdens

Dutch artist Simon Heijdens creates installations that combine abstract thinking and everyday reality. Exploring the fine line between technology and nature, light and shadow, he creates poetic aesthetics that merge the real and the intangible. His works are part of several permanent collections, including at MoMA in New York and the V&A in London, and he has worked on commissioned projects with Swarovski, Perrier Jouet and Wallpaper*


Richard Kolker
Photographer / Digital Artist

Exploring the relations between digital and physical worlds, the works of Richard Kolker are produced through a variety of media, including 3D scanning, photography and CGI. Showing strong spatial and three-dimensional concern, his images form a sort of magical, virtual reality. The London-based artist has shown his works in galleries worldwide, and has been selected for several art and photography awards


Hanna Putz and Adrian Buschmann

Artists Hannah Putz and Adrian Buschmann started collaborating in January 2015, inspired by their frequent travels around the globe. A photographer, a visiting lecturer at the University of Art and Design Linz in Austria and at the Bauhaus University in Weimar, Germany, Putz focuses on human relations and the body. Buschmann creates abstract oil paintings that have their roots in European modern art


Marko Righo
Inter-disciplinary Artist

London-based multidisciplinary artist Marko Righo’s work focuses on digital collages delivered through photography, film and sculpture. His digital works play with illusions of dimensions and feature a bold, colourful aesthetic. Righo is also the co-founder of London’s MKII, a multifunctional gallery-cum-creative space, and works with experimental photography collective DoBeDo. His work is represented by Lebenson Gallery in Paris

Rebecca Scheinberg

A multidisciplinary artist working with photography and the moving image, Australian-born, London-based Rebecca Scheinberg creates impactful images that combine a strong aesthetic with a desire to question contemporary consumer culture. Her images have a pristine quality, and her work has been shown in several art and photography institutions, while also featuring in the The Catlin Guide 2015 and British Journal of Photography’s Ones to Watch 2015


Liam Stevens
Artist / Designer

London-based artist and designer Liam Stevens works across disciplines, inspired by nature as well as the urban. His collage and drawing works have strong graphic and geometric qualities, and the abstract compositions are the result of Stevens’ playful editing. His artworks have been exhibited globally and are currently in the permanent collection of the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art in Kanazawa, Japan
