In a city known for its design clout, it can be hard to stand out from the crowd. Yet Copenhagen’s Brøchner Hotels – also owners of the city’s stylish SP34 – know how to make a splash.
Its latest offering, Herman K, has taken the brand to the next level with handcrafted details, gastronomy, art and architecture. Set within a converted transformer station in the heart of the city, the 31-room hotel was designed to be in dialogue with its building’s industrial roots. A façade of dark bronze slats clearly mark it out on the streetscape, while inside, naked concrete is matched with softer details, such as deep pile carpets and Scandi-style upholstery.
Our tip? Book the generous penthouse suite and try Roxie, the ground floor restaurant, which has been launched in collaboration with the people behind the city’s two-Michelin-starred Nordic cuisine eaterie Kadeau.
