YME is Oslo’s answer to Colette
Paleet opened in 1990 as a fashionable place for trendy 'Osloers' to shop, making the department store's recent makeover long overdue. Located on Oslo's main shopping street, Karl Johans Gate, Paleet reopened in autumn 2014 and is yet again an up-to-date retail destination that houses an impressive selection of sought-after restaurants and shops.
The most interesting of which is concept store YME - designed by renowned architectural firm Snøhetta and uniting a curated offering of fashion, accessories, books, interiors and artwork from a host of coveted Scandinavian and international brands. On the shelves and racks desirables from the likes of Haider Ackermann, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Bjarne Melgaard and Dash Snow make YME an essential address for anyone interested in life and style. Located in the heat of Oslo the multi-faceted property includes an art gallery, bookshop, restaurant and rooftop garden within its ambitious confines.
