Humberto Leon and Carol Lim have an infectious enthusiasm for Paris kitsch, with their New Yorker perspective lending Kenzo's Spring offering an innocent take on the consummate French man's sense of style. Protecting their guests with a transparent huddle of umbrellas beside the Pont Alexandre III, the Kenzo duo served up a bright collection of polka dots and blazing Op art stripes, their scooter-ready silhouette of flat-packed shapes popping with retro details. From intarsia knits bearing the likeness of lady Liberty and Les Miserables' Cosette to punchy Tour Eiffel patchworks, this ode to the City of Light played Paris to the Nth degree, yet with such youthful candour to stir perhaps even the most jaded traveller to its charms once more.
