Dsquared2 A/W 2016
Mood board: A life-sized bamboo forest set the scene for Dsquared2's Japanese-inspired collection that was punched up with a twist of hip-hop. Karate-style, wrap-front tie tops and pleated black skirts were all mixed throughout Dsquared2's signature stable of streetwear.
Best in show: Amazing kimono prints exploded onto oversized jacquard anoraks, giving a couture edge to sportswear. Also noteworthy were the beautiful embroidered satin shirt-jacket hybrids felt like a mix of boxer's robe and a cool kimono.
Finishing touches: Thick lug soles on lace-up shoes and boots, knit skull caps and fingerless gloves were all tough guy accessories that mixed in beautifully with the softer Japanese elements.
