In Partnership With COS

Over the past few seasons, COS has been steadily expanding the ambition of its campaigns, bringing together increasingly international casts and some of fashion’s most compelling creative talent. For A/W 2026, that world grows larger again.

This season, models Awar Odhiang and Leon Dame take to the streets of New York, photographed by Mark Kean and styled by Jane How. Alongside them is Jacqui Hooper and Malick Bodian – familiar faces within the COS universe – as well as Noor Khan, Alaina Rae, Yun Seo Woo, Lucien Le Nevé, Jesse Rinderknecht and Hoyong Kim.

There is something pleasingly old-school about Kean’s photographs. Framed by New York’s imposing architecture, the images are direct and fuss-free, with little to distract from the interplay between the city and the clothes: hard-edged streetscapes set against fluid tailoring, rich textures and sharply drawn silhouettes.

It is an approach that feels particularly suited to COS. The brand has long built its visual identity around intentional minimalism, but increasingly that ethos is being projected on a much larger canvas. The cast may be global and the setting cinematic, yet Kean’s images retain the quietness that has long defined the brand: a coat caught in movement, the fall of a trouser, the contrast of a sharply tailored silhouette against the city.

Against that backdrop, the precision of the A/W 2026 collection comes into focus. Tailoring provides its foundation, with relaxed proportions giving double-breasted blazers, dresses and sweeping maxi coats a sense of movement. Pinstripes nod to the traditional corporate wardrobe, while cashmere, leather and suede bring softness and tactility. Predominantly black and white, the collection is punctuated by unexpected flashes of purple and delicate floral embroidery.

There are similarly subtle disruptions to familiar wardrobe archetypes. In womenswear, a crisp cotton shirt borrows its wing collar and press-creased French cuffs from tuxedo dressing, while a leather blouson is paired with streamlined stirrup leggings and fine merino knitwear. Menswear, meanwhile, shifts between the utilitarian and the luxurious, from a waxed-cotton trench to a richly grained leather flight jacket.
