Our film casts the COS white shirt as a starting point for creative thinking, showing it in ethereal, tactile and existential forms. Wallpaper* filmed in motion, a selection of COS’ white shirts in the manner of hanging kinetic sculptures, elegantly cinematic in their minimal perfection.
A simple, gallery-like set allows the garments to take centre stage. A shirt is stretched and scrunched, and seen floating through the air as we imagine the intricacies of the garment.
COS currently renders the white shirt in sheer silk, poplin and papery cotton. It can be fitted or oversized. Feminine, tomboyish or masculine. There are cut out and rounded collars, patch pockets and buttons either exposed or discreetly hidden. The white shirt is not a prescriptive, restrictive concept anymore, but a pure pleasure.
The film is the perfect cinematic complement to the COS × nendo collaboration. We will be revealing more with two additional films, exploring the COS × nendo collaboration and the installation at Salone del Mobile.
