This new Vondom outdoor furniture is a breath of fresh air
Designed by architect Jean-Marie Massaud, the ‘Pasadena’ collection takes elegance and comfort outdoors

In partnership with Vondom
Architectural form meets comfort in a new outdoor furniture collection from Spanish specialist Vondom, the company’s second collaboration with architect and designer Jean-Marie Massaud.
Titled ‘Pasadena’, the new family of pieces – a lounge chair, a modular sofa, a side table and a sun lounger – relinquishes formal restraint in favour of the absolute ease of the user.
‘The ambition of the collection,’ explains Massaud, ‘is to reinterpret an archetype; to make an architectural product with this language and proportions, but generous in terms of comfort.’
With its resulting balance between refined lines and an enveloping welcome, the collection is at home both indoors and outdoors. Massaud consulted Vondom’s repertoire of technical materials and weatherproof foams to ensure soft and cocooning designs with all the resilience required for outdoor environments, and a fresh, vital aesthetic to match.
The architect is known for the signature simplicity and lightness of his work, which typically begins with a focus on quality of experience. With ‘Pasadena’, he wanted to bring sculptural nuance to the pieces, without sacrificing warmth. Job done – above all, this new outdoor furniture is an open invitation to sit down and relax in your outside space, in timeless style.
