Cosentino reveals a new generation of mineral surfaces for architecture and design
Combining technical innovation and a nod to natural beauty, the company’s latest surfaces feature a zero crystalline silica formulation
In Partnership With Cosentino
For decades, the standard for architectural and design surfaces has been set by a commitment to durability and aesthetic quality. Now, a new chapter in material innovation is beginning. Cosentino, a global leader in the field, is poised to redefine the surfaces category with the launch of its innovative Éclos brand. Introducing the concept of an ‘Inlayered Mineral Surface’, Éclos is a groundbreaking material that successfully integrates sophisticated, realistic 3D design with unparalleled physical performance.
Cosentino Éclos in 'Legnd'
Cosentino’s dedicated teams invested more than 28,000 hours of research and 1,500 hours of testing to create the revolutionary ‘Inlayr’ technology, a sophisticated layered design system that leverages advanced robotics and decoration techniques. This process achieves a high level of three-dimensional realism, giving the entire surface, including the edges, a unique depth, consistency, and a natural touch and feel.
Cosentino Éclos in 'Sandr'
The commitment to a future-forward approach extends to the material’s composition. Éclos pioneers a zero crystalline silica formulation – safe for installers – and a dedication to the circular economy; the material incorporates a minimum of 50 per cent recycled materials, with several colour options featuring almost 90 per cent recycled materials. This composition also delivers superior properties, including better flexibility, impact resistance, and impressive heat resistance – Éclos is able to withstand temperatures up to 220°C (428°F) – making it an ideal, high-performance solution, especially for kitchen and bathroom countertops.
Cosentino Éclos in 'Wondr'
The inaugural ‘Eclectic Veins’ collection captures this ethos, featuring colours and intricate patterns that draw from nature. With ten colour designs – Sandr, Vancor, Lumer, Veilr, Ivora, Landr, Tajnar, Wondr, Legnd and Phantome – the collection fuses nods to organic beauty with precision technology, offering dynamic and unique surfaces for any interior environment.
