There was no missing the Fendi store when it arrived in the Design District in 2015. Its east façade and colonnade – a vivid shock of fluoro-red, courtesy of Johanna Grawunder – makes the perfect Instagram shot. The two-floor store pays homage to the brand’s Roman roots with travertine and bronze details, but this interior has been lent urban edge via industrial cement floors and exposed brick walls. It stocks both women and menswear, as well as the handbags, keychains and charms so beloved by Fendi devotees. §
