Born and brought up in South Africa, Christopher Jenner lived in Paris, Tel Aviv and Hong Kong before deciding to call London his home. So it is no wonder that the individuality of different cultures is a driving force behind his work. ‘I’m inspired by the diversity of culture and craft, where the opportunity to collaborate and reinterpret traditional techniques provides a dynamic commutative platform,’ he says.
His ability to apply a handcrafted touch to any brief, no matter the scale, has gained him a truly global reputation, as well as seen him partner with some of the world’s leading brands to create projects spanning retail, hospitality, travel, furniture, lighting, and product design.

In 2018, Jenner’s craft capabilities went on show at Wallpaper* Handmade, during Milan design week, when he created the ‘Yin & Yang’ meditation bench as a personal tribute to his direct experience of the exhibition’s theme, Wellness + Wonder.
When it comes to craft, Jenner sees China as having a ‘peerless heritage’. ‘It’s home to some of the world’s most accomplished craft techniques, and is a place that provides a lasting inspiration for contemporary interpretation and cultural exchange,’ he adds.§
