While the ideal would be that we skip off to the country whenever we’re feeling a little sick of urban living, the reality never quite works out that way. So it’s with open arms that we welcome the opening of Bamford Body’s temporary concept shop in the heart of Knightsbridge. Entirely devoted to Bamford’s bath and beauty range, the boutique is in operation until the end of the month.

Spread over two floors, Bamford Body is a serenity-inducing, one-stop shop where cashmere travel accessories, indulgent waffle robes and large scented candles are the order of day. Shelves are lovingly packed with the label’s organic and botanic offerings, from hearty shampoos and bath washes in eucalyptus and geranium to its nourishing body oils in camomile or rosemary.
Most significantly, the temporary store also houses a treatment pod, allowing clients to partake in body and massage therapies, only offered at its Hay Barn spa in Gloucestershire until now. Choose from a 45 minute reflexology session, a half-hour massage focusing on the back, neck and shoulders, or go all-out with the Bamford Body treatment, 90 minutes of rhythmic massage complete with a relaxing footbath and Shiatsu energy work.
The restorative menu has been adapted to suit the needs of city dwellers and will become permanently available in November when the pod puts down roots at Bamford’s Draycott Avenue outpost.
