Vladimir Kagan

Born in Worms, Germany in 1927, Vladimir Kagan emigrated to the Untied States in 1938. After studying architecture at Columbia he joined his father's cabinetmaking studio where he learnt the art of furniture design. The furniture he created in the mid-century period are instantly recognizable for their sculptural, organic forms and Kagan quickly made a name as one of the foremost designer-makers of the American design scene. This year Ralph Pucci launched Vladimir Kagan's 'Lost Masterpieces', a collection of 10 vintage designs available exclusively through Pucci's New York and LA showrooms.
