Wallspace* Tokujin Yoshioka

Tokujin Yoshioka

The Japanese designer trained under Shiro Kuramata and Issey Miyake, before setting up his own studio in 2000. His unique approach to furniture design – whether he’s ‘growing’ chairs in aquariums or creating works that seem to be formed by nature itself – has seen him collaborate with big brands like Driade, Moroso, Kartell and Swarovski and, in 2008, he won Wallpaper’s Best Furniture Designer award. Since then his career has continued to soar.
