Satyendra Pakhalé

After studying in Mumbai and Switzerland, Indian industrial designer Satyendra Pakhalé earned his stripes at Philips Design, creating products for digital communication and transport. He set up his own practice in Amsterdam in 1998, but has always done much of his research and prototyping in India, where he also has a studio. Counting Cappellini, Magis, Offecct and Colombo Design among his clients, Pakhalé is known for his fresh approach to material and the unique way he fuses different disciplines and cultures in his designs, which are now in the collections of the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam and Pompidou Centre in Paris, among others.
