Antonio Bernardo

Born in Brazil in 1947, Antonio Bernardo's passion for the goldsmith trade was ignited during a childhood spent in his father’s shop, which specialised in jewellery and watch-making tools. He moved to Lausanne at the age of 22 to study at the Centre International de Formation de L’industrie Horlogère Suisse. After his father’s death, Bernado inherited his studio and tools, and successfully carved his own niche as one of Latin America's top jewellers. He exhibited at the Basel Fair from 2003 to 2009 and has won the IF Design Product award every year since 2004.
