Behind the set: Dior S/S 2017

A changing of the guard does not mean Dior will change its customary impressive show venues

For S/S 2017, the debut collection of Maria Grazia Chiuri, the house enlisted Bureau Betak's Alexandre de Betak and his team of 150 people to construct the venue, right in the courtyard of the Musée Rodin. Guest passed the famous French artist’s sculptures flanking the entrance. Regardless of the big production, the venue was more subdued than previous seasons. Inside, solid oak benches provided seating and oak floorboards paved the runway, with two-tone walls in charcoal and light grey patinated surfaces creating a minimal backdrop. Shot by Tender Night, this time-lapse rushes us through the 13 days required for installation.
