Soft landing guaranteed
Hermès was early to embrace the iPad, crafting a calfskin case for what was then our newest toy for Handmade 2010, and partnering with us on our Case Studies iPad app. So we asked the brand to get digital with us again. To bring to life its new wallpaper collection, we enlisted the help of students from ÉCAL’s Visual Communication Department. ‘Spot Light’, the first moving wallpaper (watch it here
), requires an iPad, a projector and a wall covered with ‘Fil d’Argent’ wallpaper designed by Henri d’Origny.
In a second project, shown here, ‘Pêle-Mêle’, ÉCAL has created an equestrian parade based on the artwork of the eponymous Hermès motif by Philippe Dumas.
ÉCAL
The University of Art and Design Lausanne was founded in 1821. It is now one of Europe’s leading art and design schools and offers bachelor and master’s courses in disciplines such as visual communication, industrial and product design, and fine arts.
