Bjarke Ingels discusses urban sites and Vancouver House

Known for his innovative approach to challenging urban sites, the architect opens up about his Canadian project, Vancouver House

Danish-born architect Bjarke Ingels of BIG invited us to his New York office to discuss his innovative approach to tricky urban sites, focusing specifically on his ongoing Vancouver House project on Canada's West Coast. The scheme, part of Westbank Corp's family of developments, is a residential tower accompanied by a lower mixed-use complex, slated to become the fourth tallest building in its home town. Construction is expected to complete in 2018.
