Following the success of its six European-based properties, Dutch hotel group Citizen M have ventured across the Atlantic to set up shop in New York City. Located bang in the midst of bustling Times Square, the 230-room property has once again been designed by Amsterdam-based architecture firm Concrete, to reveal eclectic and bold public spaces and clean, functionally designed pod-like rooms that are kitted out with state-of-the-art technology. There is a 24-hour lobby with self-check in kiosks and a cafeteria with grab-and-go snacks, while the lounge area doubles as a coffee shop and cocktail bar. For quieter moments, Citizen M New York offers a more intimate mezzanine library – curated with books from Amsterdam bookstore Mendo – and a guest-only rooftop bar.
