Thompson — Nashville, USA
Music City’s modern renaissance pushes onward with the introduction of Thompson Nashville, the hotel chain’s first foray into the southern United States. A collaborative project of Hastings Architecture Associates and Parts and Labor Design, the 224-room property focuses on concepts of urban renewal, while capturing the charm and proper sophistication of the greater South.
Intricacy is at the forefront of all interior elements, beginning immediately in the lobby, where a stunning and vast wooden inlay takes precedence, courtesy of 1767 Design’s Patrick Hayes. Guest rooms are crafted to provide a wholly residential feel, all of which showcase floor-to-ceiling windows, wood floors, and custom Flat Vernacular wallpaper. Suites take luxury a step further, adding claw foot tubs aligned to provide astounding window views.
Chef John Besh reigns over the property’s food and beverage. This includes LA Jackson, the rooftop bar offering sweeping city skyline views and a true air of modern splendour akin to the upscale Gulch neighbourhood that the premises finds itself well-suited for.
As one of the first boutique hotels in all of Tennessee, Thompson’s latest offering fills in a long-standing gap for a diverse and energetic city whose story of revitalisation is rapidly continuing to unfold.
