Oregon-based winery and vineyard Sokol Blosser is home to a striking new tasting room courtesy of local practice Allied Works Architecture. Positioned within the 100-acre family-owned estate, among the contours of the Dundee Hills, the new structure comprises a series of spaces for sampling the vineyard's Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris varieties. At the centre of the building is the main tasting room, surrounded by a kitchen, library, bar, outdoor terrace sitting room and hearth. Downstairs, a cellar can be used for private tastings and wine storage opens directly onto a private garden embedded into the earth. Clad in striated wood, the angular complex is filled with natural light and features sprawling views of the Willamette Valley.
