The Landau, London

From Nobu Mayfair to the new Artesian Bar, London is speckled with the chic creations of the David Collins Studio. With the opening of The Landau restaurant, this architectural dream team can add another elegant feather to their caps.

Entrance into the dining area is through a vaulted limestone and brick passageway, lined with luminous glass cabinets filled with bottles from the restaurants’ wine collection. Past this connoisseurs’ dreamscape, the space widens into an oval-shaped design with oriental tones and graceful proportions.

Silk Chinoiserie screens conceal two private dining areas, while gilded timber wall panels and bespoke brass chandeliers bring an air of antiquity to the otherwise contemporary gold, blue and jade embossed leather furnishings.

The finishing touch to this blended atmosphere comes from signature dishes like blue-fin tuna with mango and seared Orkney scallops from head chef Andrew Turner served on delicate Vera Wang chinaware.
