Water side dining table and chairs

For a while, it was one of Sydney’s best-kept secrets, but, with its fantastic views, word had to get out sooner or later, particularly since its redesign by SJB Interiors and the arrival of British chef Steven Skelly. Step off the ferry at McMahons Point, just a few minutes ride from Circular Quay, and you’re there. The vista takes in the Harbour Bridge, Opera House and Luna Park. By day it’s all sunshine and water, but by night the bright lights create a more dramatic backdrop. The short menu has a modern Australian bent – since arriving in the country Skelly has worked at Bilson’s and Pier – but the dish causing a real stir is the imam bayaldi.
