The first hotel in Sol Melía’s new ME contemporary hotel brand, ME Madrid has 192 rooms with the usual frills — 300-thread count linen, rainfall showerheads and iPods preloaded with 900 tracks. Interiors are by Keith Hobbs of United Designers (who did The Clarence in Dublin, the Metropolitan in London and Parrot Cay in the Turks and Caicos), while restaurant Midnight Rose, created by Scott and Rande Gerber, is presided over by hot young local chef Jaime Renedo.
