Forneria, Rio de Janeiro

Rio de Janeiro’s latest hip eaterie, Forneria, is the Ipanema incarnation of the original sanduicheria in São Paulo, launched by legendary restaurateur Rogério Fasano. Brazilian architect Isay Weinfeld has taken the same warm approach to modernism that has made him famous, bringing together rich woods, foliage and clean lines with some charming touches, such as vintage Italian movie posters and the ‘jukebox man’, a well-dressed DJ of sorts.
