Townshend Rock Reference II
Townshend Audio’s 1980s Rock Reference turntable was the result of research at the Cranfield Institute of Technology to develop ‘the perfect record player’. Now, Townshend has produced the Rock Reference II. The turntable case construction features constrained layer damping to prevent vibration from reaching the record, and the whole suspended structure is lined with rock-hard plaster to eliminate vibration. Get the picture? Vibration bad. Rock Reference II good.
