We admit it’s rare that we get very excited about office equipment, given the prevailing mode of function over form. But stalwart of simplicity Jasper Morrison has teamed-up with Italian company Olivetti to design a multifunction photo printer that certainly wouldn’t look out of place atop our original Eames desks.

Something of a master at turning everyday, functional electrics into covetable things of beauty (remember the kettle, toaster and coffee machine for Rowenta?) Morrison’s new photo printer forms part of Olivetti’s ‘Linea’ series for the Small Office Home Office (or SOHO) market. Specialist high-tech cartridges with a vast number of ink nozzles means brilliant quality and super fast speeds - 31 pages of black-and-white per minute, and 28 for colour.

As with all of Morrison’s products, simplicity of design and use are the driving principles. We love the clean lines and pared-down aesthetic, matched by the one key equals one function usability. As well as printing photos, the machine also scans and copies images, contains a 2.4" LCD and also a memory card reader, which means no need for connecting leads to a PC or Mac. All of which means we might actually get round to having some good old-fashioned, hard copy photos in the not too distant future.
