Nina Yashar is without question one of Milan’s top design dealers, her Nilufar gallery in Via della Spiga pulsing at the epicenter of achingly expensive mid-century gems and the hottest contemporary designs for the last 15 years. This year, for the very first time, she will open the doors to her warehouse - Nilufar Depot, north of the Garibaldi train station - to truly showcase her treasure trove. Architect Massimiliano Locatelli has been enlisted to design the space in the image of Milan’s famous Teatro della Spiga gallery. Imposing, dramatic, yet distinctly practical, the space will host a range of Nilufar gallery protégés, among them Locatelli and Martino Gamper, as well as the neon lights of Marco Rizzuto, six-metre-tall brass curtains of Leonar Antunes and Lindsey Adelman's cage chandeliers.
