This month heralds the launch of our second annual guest editors issue, a jumbo-sized tome featuring specially curated sections by three of today's biggest creative stars (complete with three separate covers) – architect Zaha Hadid, avant-garde fashion powerhouse Rei Kawakubo, and nonagenerian art legend Louise Bourgeois.

Given the calibre of last year's all-male trio – Koons, Slimane, and Rams – the bar was set intimidatingly high for round two, and true to form the grande dames don't disappoint.

From the visually tantalizing 20-page portfolio of art, photography, and illustration by the inspired team at Comme des Garçons, the Japanese label Kawakubo founded and heads, to Hadid's 16-page die-cut take on her new 'Lotus' room installation (we don't let just anyone punch holes in our magazine) and Bourgeois' fascinating exploration of her closest collaborators, including the inimitable Helmut Lang, this year's issue is a veritable feast for the creative soul. Choosing next year's line-up just got a whole lot tougher.
