October saw us eschewing any signs of economic melt-down by launching our definitive guide to shopping with a host of stores that not only delivered the goods, but showed the most innovative retail design in the world.
We also dispatched our editors on London’s most action-packed, dazzling and profitable art event of the year - the Frieze Art Fair - and left not a stone unturned. After which a welcome break beckoned at a modern country retreat in upstate New York by Hanrahan Meyers architects.
